Bayfront Beach Survey

Over 200 residents have shared their ideas for the future of Bayfront Beach so far! You can participate online HERE. Please continue to share the survey link with your neighbours and colleagues before September 30, 2016. Your responses will help the project team:
  • Better understand the historical context, perspectives and stakeholders related to Bayfront Beach;
  • Better understand how Bayfront Beach is used and how the community would like to use it in the future; and
  • Gather feedback on the different options for Bayfront Beach and inform the final recommendations.

Special Meeting

Postponed NEN Board Meeting
Special Hughson St Baptist Public Meeting

For those who haven't heard, there's an intriguing potential development being planned by Hughson Street Baptist Church in partnership with Indwell. After hearing at many of the West Harbour community meetings held over the past year about the concern surrounding the disappearance of affordable housing in the North End, Hughson Street Baptist decided that it would explore the possibility of incorporate affordable housing units into its new, yet to be built, church location at 500 James Street North.

Hughson Street Baptist have expressed that they are aware of the importance of working in partnership with the North End community that they've been part of for so many years. So they are holding a public meeting on Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 500 James Street North to reveal their vision for the property as well as take questions and listen to your concerns.

To read Hughson Street Baptist's official invitation to the neighbourhood, pleaseclick here.

The North End Neighbours board will also be in attendance in case you have any questions or concerns about this or any broader topics.

Location: 500 James St. N (centre doors, entering from Picton St parking lot)
Date: Wednesday June 1, 2016
Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (presentation at 7, refreshments served before)
Since this public meeting is the same evening as the planned NEN board meeting, we will be cancelling our board meeting and will notify the neighbourhood once a new time and location is confirmed.

We look forward to seeing you there.
